Perennials

Perennials are known as permanent plants meaning they flower every year and depending on variety at different times of the year. Some are evergreen; they will keep some of their foliage in the winter. Other varieties will die down under the soil completely in winter but re-emerge in spring. Symphyotrichums and Eurybia are the new name of Asters

Mostly they prefer full sun and tall varieties may need staking (propping up).
As they flower in the autumn and have been growing in full sun a good slosh
of water June/July/August is a good idea. Also to help conserve moisture
plant with well-rotted manure or compost and/or put a mulch around the base
on top of the soil, after planting.
